搭小火車到阿里山看神木、走步道、看日出是許多人熟悉的旅遊行程。小火車從嘉義市區出發，途中經過竹崎車站、交力坪車站、奮起湖車站⋯等車站，最終到達阿里山風景區。隨著火車緩慢地行駛，沿途的風景從低海拔的城市風景漸漸爬升到中高海拔的溫帶針葉林，是非常特別的體驗。
林務局阿里山林業鐵路及文化資產管理處委託早起設計一系列紀念戳章，繪製的車站包含「北門車站、竹崎車站、交力坪車站、奮起湖車站、阿里山車站以及沼平車站」，這些車站本身都具有歷史上的價值，也是阿里山鐵路上著名且具特色的站點。
戳章的設計與製作分為兩個部分，其一是戳章圖像設計，另一個則是戳章台及戳章本體的設計與製作。圖像設計的部分除了揣摩每個車站的建築特色外，也將每個車站的旅遊特色繪製在戳章前景，像是盛產柑橘的竹崎車站、以賞櫻著稱的阿里山車站⋯等。戳章台及戳章本體的製作則與ARRT STUDIO 合作，以質地堅硬且木色深沉溫潤的胡桃木進行製作，透過細緻的手工製作及雷射雕刻，充分呈現圖像的細節及戳章組的質感，是從前期討論到設計再到最終製作都十分愉快且富有細節的專案。
The journey to Alishan, aboard a small train, is a popular itinerary. It departs from Chiayi City, passing through stations like Zukishi, Jiaoliping, and Fenqihu, before reaching the Alishan Scenic Area. The scenic transition from urban landscapes to temperate forests offers a unique and memorable experience.
Matinal Design Office was commissioned by the Alishan Forestry Railway and Cultural Heritage Management Office to create commemorative stamps featuring six iconic stations: Beimen, Zukishi, Jiaoliping, Fenqihu, Alishan, and Zhaoping. Each station, rich in historical significance, is a unique stop along the Alishan Railway.
The stamp design process included creating images that highlighted each station's unique features, like Zukishi's citrus and Alishan's cherry blossoms. The stamp stands and bodies were crafted from durable walnut wood, with laser engraving to capture intricate details. The project involved careful design and production, ensuring high quality and a memorable final product.
