"Aestheticell" is an innovative team dedicated to blending "aesthetics and education," with the slogan, "Give us a textbook, and we'll give the children an art museum," aiming to create an industry that changes society through design. In collaboration with Aestheticell, Matinal Design Office designed the "109-2 New Taipei City Junior High School Character Education Contact Book" for 7th, 8th, and 9th grades, impacting nearly 100,000 students this semester.

Each grade’s design reflects its unique stage of development, focusing on three themes: "Diverse Exploration," "Interpersonal Relationships," and "Self-Value Expression."

 

7th Grade｜Diverse Exploration

The design portrays a cautious "eye" symbolizing new students' excitement and nervousness as they begin their middle school journey, with spatial lines representing the opening of their hearts.

 

8th Grade｜Interpersonal Relationships

Using "speech bubbles" to represent the growing complexity of relationships, the design highlights classmates’ varied emotions, from secrets to friendships, symbolized by intertwining lines inside the bubbles.

 

9th Grade｜Self-Value Expression

With a focus on preparing for exams and future goals, the design uses radiating images and sharp lines to evoke a sense of striving and blooming, symbolizing the students’ efforts to showcase their abilities.
